How To Use the Verb To Have in Spanish – Elinqua
August 4, 2014

One of the first question we ask somebody we meet for the first time is his/her nationality. The question is quite simple in Spanish: ¿de dónde eres? or ¿de dónde es usted?

To answer, we should reply something like:

• Soy de + country Soy de Hungría

• Soy + nationality Soy húngara / Soy húngaro

But most importantly, we should know a bit about countries and nationalities in Spanish. So here we suggest that you download our blank PDF here. Without looking up the words, try to fill in the blanks with the names of the different countries. You can do it directly on the PDF. Click on “save” to save up your answers.

Now, take a look at the answers here below, or download the answers’ sheet, that you may also use to revise or get familiar with this new Spanish vocabulary. How many of them did you get right? Also, if your country is not on the list, please do not hesitate to write us and we’ll include it right away.
